About JKS Clyde
Local Karate. Part of Something Bigger.
JKS Clyde brings authentic JKS Karate into the heart of our local communities, providing a place for children, teens and adults to begin, develop and progress. As part of JKS Scotland and the wider Japan Karate Shoto Federation, our students are connected to opportunities that extend far beyond their local dojo.
Rooted Locally. Connected Globally.
JKS Clyde is a member of JKS Scotland and part of the wider Japan Karate Shoto Federation, connecting our students directly to the organisation’s roots in Japan.
Through this connection, our students have opportunities to train directly with senior JKS instructors from Japan — including visiting instructors teaching here at JKS Clyde — bringing authentic Japanese instruction into our local dojo.
Connected Across Scottish Sport
Karate in Our Community
Through our work with Live Argyll Active Schools, JKS Clyde brings karate directly into local schools, giving children the opportunity to experience structured karate training within their own community. Alongside our local club classes, this helps make authentic JKS Karate accessible to families across the area.
Your Karate. Your Journey.
Every student’s journey is different. Whether your goal is to progress through the grades, develop your karate, compete, or simply enjoy regular training, JKS Clyde provides a clear pathway to keep moving forward. For those who want to take their karate further, opportunities extend through JKS Scotland to national and international training and competition.
Japanese Instruction. In Your Local Dojo.
Our connection with JKS Japan goes beyond affiliation. JKS Clyde students have regular opportunities to train directly with senior instructors visiting from Japan, bringing authentic Japanese instruction, knowledge and experience into our local dojo.
